What Awaits You During the Pre-Forum Week of the Urban Forum?
The pre-forum week leading up to the Urban Forum is a unique opportunity for every citizen to be part of the transformation of their city. Over the course of two weeks, you can look forward to interactive events that combine engagement, creativity, and discussions on relevant urban issues. It’s a true celebration of street culture, where you can not only observe the changes but also actively participate in them, leaving your mark on the urban space. The program includes four areas: theater, street art, music, and dance.

Theater
Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the city through the unique format of site-specific performances. You will be able to see the city from a new unexpected side: take a walk with headphones on or watch the productions and performances right on the streets. Register for the screenings in advance, the number of seats is limited.
Street-art
Professional artists together with residents will create an art object in a new public space near the Ala-Archa River and decorate other urban spaces with their works. Come to watch and participate!
Music
Music will fill the space with life, make you smile and dance. Every day, different locations will be filled with music: from street musicians on Musical Erkindik to the performance of an orchestra of national musical instruments on the steps of OLOLO Planet. Watch the city change with the sound of music.
Dance
Street dance is the movement and rhythm of the city. Dancers from Let's Dance New Era will perform at three different venues, from breakdancing to graceful Contemporary choreography. Join in to move to the rhythm of the city, or just enjoy the fluidity of movement.

Theatre : ‘I'm getting off the ground.’
What to expect? ‘I'm getting off the ground’ - is an exploration of the city through the practice of elevation. We will go out into the city with a stepladder and walk along an improvised route.

Theatre: audio play ‘Spirit of the City’
What to expect? The audience will explore the city through the eyes of the main character - a 12-year-old girl Lu. You will visit courtyards, squares and parks, take part in interactive parts of the play, meet unexpected characters and enjoy Bishkek, which for a while will turn into a theatre stage.

What to expect? Before the doors of ololoPlanet there will be a performance of ethno-ensemble Kuu Bulak. You are waiting for a national folklore show, performance of modern songs in the national style. After the performance you can play ethno instruments.

Theatre: The play ‘Belek’
What to expect? An immersive performance outside the building of the Snail Cafe. This is a performance about memory and place. Each audience member will put together their own unique performance by choosing 3 ‘dishes’ from the menu. The dishes in our cafe are different interactional experiences: performance, installation, play, conversation and so on.
